Chinot infact is the wood working capital not only of Subcontinent but the whole Asia. In the sixteenth century the Muhgals invaded the Subcontinent and established their rule. Group of wood carvers from Persia and Far East Asia became the official wood carvers of the Mughal empire. Today a lot of wood carvers are the descendants of these people.
